Why Resting Wings Was Founded
Resting Wings was founded from a deeply personal experience in healthcare. As a hospice nurse, I witnessed firsthand the heartbreaking delays families and healthcare staff often experienced while waiting for a loved one to be respectfully transferred into the care of a funeral home. There were many occasions when I remained with the deceased and their grieving family for hours—sometimes as long as six hours—waiting for a removal team to arrive. During those moments, I realized there was a critical need for a company that prioritized not only timely response but also professionalism, compassion, and dignity. Resting Wings was created to bridge that gap by providing dependable, respectful, and responsive mortuary transportation services that families, funeral homes, hospitals, hospices, nursing facilities, coroners, and medical examiners can trust. We believe every individual deserves to be cared for with dignity, and every family deserves compassionate service during one of life’s most difficult moments.

With more than 35 years of customer service experience and over eight years in nursing, Natalie Carson has dedicated her career to serving others with compassion, professionalism, and integrity. Her healthcare experience spans mental health, hospice, skilled nursing, assisted living, and nurse management, providing her with a unique understanding of the emotional and logistical needs families and healthcare professionals face during life’s most difficult moments.
It was while serving as a hospice nurse that Natalie recognized a critical need for more timely, dependable, and compassionate mortuary transportation services. Witnessing families and healthcare staff wait hours for loved ones to be respectfully transferred inspired the creation of Resting Wings.
Natalie leads Resting Wings with a commitment to professionalism, privacy, dignity, and exceptional service, ensuring every individual entrusted to the company’s care is treated with the respect they deserve.
Charles Carson
Managing Operator | Co-Founder
With more than 37 years of customer service and manufacturing experience, along with over 10 years as a successful business owner, Charles Carson brings strong leadership, operational excellence, and organizational expertise to Resting Wings.
Having built and managed his own service-based business, Charles understands the importance of consistency, efficiency, accountability, and customer satisfaction. His experience has equipped him with the skills to develop effective systems, manage logistics, and ensure every operation runs smoothly.
