Response times vary based on location, weather, and road conditions, but our goal is to provide prompt, reliable service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Do you provide statewide transportation?
Yes. Resting Wings proudly provides professional mortuary transportation services throughout the State of Ohio. Whether your transport is local or long-distance, our team is prepared to assist with compassionate and dependable service.
Do you perform residential removals?
Yes. We provide respectful residential removals from private homes, assisted living communities, hospice residences, and other locations. Our team is trained to conduct every removal with professionalism, discretion, and compassion while supporting families during difficult moments.
Do you offer bariatric transportation?
Yes. Resting Wings is equipped to provide bariatric removals. All bariatric transports include a minimum of two trained team members. Additional staffing, specialized equipment, stair carries, extraction planning, or other resources may be required depending on the circumstances.
Are you fully insured?
Yes. Resting Wings LLC is fully insured and operates with the appropriate commercial insurance coverage to provide professional mortuary transportation services. A Certificate of Insurance is available upon request.

Absolutely. Our team members receive training in bloodborne pathogen safety, proper body handling procedures, chain of custody documentation, HIPAA awareness, professionalism, and customer service. Ongoing education ensures we maintain the highest standards of care and safety.
Are your services available after normal business hours?
Yes. Resting Wings operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
How is mileage calculated?
For transports extending beyond the included service area, mileage is calculated using the shortest commercially reasonable route from Resting Wings’ Franklin County service area to the furthest service location required to complete the assignment. This calculation may include travel to the pickup location and/or destination when either extends beyond the included mileage allowance.
How do I request transportation services?
Simply call our dispatch line at any time, day or night. Our team will collect the necessary information, coordinate the transport, and keep you informed throughout the process.
What information do you need when requesting a removal?
To ensure timely dispatch, we typically request:
- Name of the deceased
- Date and time of death
- Pickup location and address
- Destination (funeral home, coroner, morgue, etc.)
- Approximate weight
- Stair or elevator access
- Bariatric considerations
- Contact person and callback number
- Any special instructions or scene considerations
